Question by Brad: What do you have to do to get a job installing car audio/video equipment?
Can you just apply for a position somewhere or what? I Googled how to install a cd player and amp/subs and speakers in my car and went out and did it and I really liked doing it.

Your best bet would be to get MECP certified
(Mobile Electronics Certified Professional)
Once you get that, then anywhere you go – the employer will know that you actually know what you’re doing, and you’ll have a better chance of getting hired.
otherwise, it would be like trying to get a job as a driver without a driver’s license
