One of the largest mobile phones manufacturers finish Nokia, announced that they are developing new format of the flash based memory cards under the name Universal Flash Storage ( UFS ).

Nokia is the leader of the new UFS standard development, but the developed will be in cooperation with Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Spansion, STMicroElectronics and Texas Instruments.
