HDR-CX7 High Definition video with flash memory from Sony

Sony’s HDR-CX7 is special since it is a flash-based High Definition video camera that does away with other moving parts of older models, thus increasing power consumption and longevity of the device.
The HRD-CX7 won’t be using memory cards other than its own proprietary Memory Stick Pro Duo though, but it would have been nice to see Sony be more open to widen their install base. Among the advantages of the HDR-CX7 include a weight of under a pound with the battery included, a 3 megapixel CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom, and optical image stabilization.
You would do well to carry around additional Memory Stick Pro Duos with the HDR-CX7 since we all know how limited space is on such media compared to other bulkier solutions.
